CHL’s 17th Season Begins on Friday, October 17th The 2008-09 Central Hockey League (CHL) schedule has been announced, with the 512-game season beginning on Friday, October 17th in seven locations, and concluding on Saturday, March 21st with eight contests. Each of the CHL’s 16 member clubs will play a 64 game schedule with 32 games at home and on the road. Just over 75% of the games will take place on Fridays (33.9%), Saturdays (35.1%) or Sundays (6.3%).

The Rapid City Rush today announced the addition of Mark DeSantis as the second Player-Assistant under Head Coach Joe Ferras. The two have had experience with the system as DeSantis served as a Player-Assistant for the Amarillo Gorillas from 2002-2004 during which Ferras was head coach.
R.G. Flath, 23, of Park City, Utah joins the growing roster of Rapid City Rush and former teammate Miguel Beaudry.
